The Right Fit:

Favorite way to practice self-care:

I love taking my time to get ready, so I enjoy taking care of my skin and doing my makeup. I spend a lot of time with my two dogs (Lucy & Bently). They are my children! I also just take time to relax at home, and a big thing that helps me with self-care is cleaning and organizing my house. It makes me feel the best.

Favorite hobby/interests outside of clinical practice:

I enjoy craft projects- so making shirts and what not. I made shirts for my brothers 40th this year for myself, husband, his friends and fiance to surprise him. It was all teenage mutant ninja turtle themed. I also really enjoy refurbishing furniture- most of the pieces in my house such as end tables, dining table and what not, I bought used and refurbished it. Shopping is also another favorite hobby!

Favorite theorists:

I don't know if I have an actual favorite theorist. The first one I learned about that fascinated me and made me want to become a psychologist was Freud. However, I love the different skills and techniques that so many different theorists bring to our profession. I love the idea of the empty chair technique, the miracle question, motivational interviewing…so many to list.

What you would say to someone who is on the fence about participating in therapy:

Taking the step to start therapy is a brave and meaningful leap of faith, and I want you to know how grateful I am that you chose to take that first step. The world can feel big and sometimes overwhelming, but remember, "it's not about the destination, it's about the journey." - Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey.

Top three skills that you bring into the session with you:

The ability to connect and establish rapport quickly with clients.

Creative approach to talking about complex topics or just getting kiddos to open up in general.

I possess an excellent knowledge base of community resources and conduct extensive research on topics essential to my clients.
