Hello

As it is with counseling, my path to becoming a licensed counselor was never “linear”.  In fact, coming from a small town and without the financial security, college was never a talked about option.  However, this was part of my growth.  As I grew into my path and started authoring my story, I participated in ways to expand my knowledge that coordinated with my beliefs and values.  I surrounded myself with those who nurtured my goals.  I opened myself to listening to my younger self, to learning from my clients.  As these new chapters were being written, my purpose expanded.  My goals became greater ideas for how I define health and wellbeing and what a community might look like if health was prioritized over dis-ease.   I knew the direction I wanted my story to go, and so I continued by using hope and gratitude to turn my dreams into my story.  I began to create an organization that would embrace these ideas of wellbeing.  I started growing my network to plant those seeds of embodiment and wholeness and health.  And now here we are, a team of committed, licensed and certified individuals who are honored to walk with you on your journey toward holistic wellbeing.  No requirements-- Come As You Are, whole body, whole you!

Favorite way to practice self-care:

being out in nature, blowing bubbles, cuddling with pets, engaging in something creative, laughing

Favorite hobby/interests outside of clinical practice:

reading, quality time with family, community development, interior design

Favorite theorists:

Abraham Maslow, Martin Seligman, Heinz Kohut, Allan Schore

What you would say to someone who is on the fence about participating in therapy:

Encouraging them to come from a place of curiosity versus self-judgment, I would say, “Notice what parts of your body feel like you connect to this idea of living into wellness and growth as a felt experience.  What parts of your body are saying yes or maybe?  Any part that feels safe enough in your body to experience this idea of renewal or wholeness.”

Top three skills that you bring into session with you:

acceptance, compassion, curiosity

Roles and goals:

Founder: offering services and a team of professionals who can meet the evolving needs of the community, foster connection through empathy and introspection, and move individuals toward growth and wholeness.

Therapist: providing individual and pre-marital counseling, facilitating workshops and groups

Community Connections: YOU-- anyone eager for change, autism organizations, community leaders to collaborate on community wellness and identifying gaps
